Description of the problem

How can a custom or already measured signal be used in the simulation mode instead of the simulated signal?

Description of the solution

Each recorded file can be replayed and customized. This is possible with replay plugin which allows us to replay files that were recorded.

Firstly you will need the “FileReplay” and “FileReplayExport” plugins which can be downloaded from our download webpage. Unzip the downloaded files and add them to the Addons subfolder (example: DEWESoftX\Bin64\Addons64) of DewesoftX installation.

The replay mode requires a .rpl file. Once the plugins are installed the .dxd data file can be exported in .rpl file. Exporting data to the .rpl file format is displayed on the image below:

To enable the file replay, switch to the simulation mode and under simulated devices, select File Replay:

Click on the three dots and choose the previously created .rpl file. The repeat option replays the signal in a loop. You can also define the speed of the replay as normal, fast as possible or custom.

The exported channels in the .rpl file will be visible in the Analog in. The signal in the .rpl file can now be replayed in Measure mode without a physical device simulating the measurement.
