The digital output option is available on many Dewesoft devices like KRYPTONi-4xDO, KRYPTONi-16xDO, KRYPTONi-8xDI-8xDO, IOLITE-32xDO and on different SIRIUS slices. For finding the one that suits you best, please refer to our Product list.
The picture above shows the Channel setup and the Output settings show the possible wiring circuit. On the left side of the dotted line shows the switch inside of the Dewesoft device, and the right side shows the outside wiring that needs to be set up by the user. Schedule tab allows us to define some more specifics settings of the output signal. Under the Wire type section we have two possible options to use the DO function as following:
Use as a switch
The diagram above shows the output working as a switch, which means as long as the switch inside the device is in an OPEN position, DO pin shows 0 V, which means logical zero. As soon as we open the switch on the left side into a CLOSED position, the DO pin shows logical one and the lamp is ON. In this mode, when the DO in Dewesoft has a state of logical 1, the switch inside the device is in a CLOSED position and vice versa.
Switch inside DO device | Value in the Dewesoft | Use as a switch |
OPEN | 0 | 0 |
CLOSE | 1 | 1 |
Use as digital output
Referring to the diagram, the outside of the device shows a voltage supply with a pull-up resistor. DO shows logical zero, when the device's switch is in a CLOSED position. Please note that the Voltage is measured between the DO pin and GND.
In this mode, the logic inside Dewesoft is reversed compared to when used as a switch, so when the DO in Dewesoft has a state of logical 1, the switch inside the device is in an OPEN position and vice versa.
Switch inside DO device | Value in the Dewesoft | Use as digital output |
OPEN | 0 | 1 |
CLOSE | 1 | 0 |
