You can adjust the synchronization time source for the system in the Device Settings. The clock provider can be a Dewesoft DAQ device (the device generates the synchronization signal), an External source, or an additionally plugged device such as VGPS, DS-IMU...

For the synchronization of the system, the 4-pin LEMO connector is used.

1.) Clock-Trigger - CLK(1) and (2)Trig pin are used

The Clock-Trigger synchronization needs two signals.

TRIGGER signal is a short square wave, with the edge on the actual trigger or beginning of the synchronization.

CLK signal is a square wave with the frequency of the selected Dynamic acquisition rate with the 5V amplitude.

Additionally, you can also use the RES pin, where you get the duplicate CLK signal, for which you can also add SRDiv.

2.) IRIG-B-DC/IRIG-B-AC - CLK(1) and TRIG(2) pin are used.

The IRIG timecode is a standard format for transferring timing information. We support the IRIG-B- time code, which has a 1Hz Frame rate and has a 5V amplitude.

IRIG-B-DC

IRIG-B-AC

Additionally, you can also use the RES pin, where you get the duplicate CLK signal, for which you can also add SRDiv.

3.) PPS - RES(3) pin is used

The PPS signal must be a 5V TTL signal with 1Hz frequency. The signal can be chosen as an External source or from a device with a GPS receiver, such as VGPS, DS-IMU...

When PPS sync is used for Dewesoft system it is not possible to also synchronize GigE Camera as the same PIN (RES) is used for triggering the camera

4.) Other Clock sources

NTP - Network time protocol

Other IRIG sources -> The DS-CLOCK can transform any IRIG source to IRIG-B-DC

5.) Adjust synchronization in Dewesoft system

When you have multiple devices you can check and adjust the system synchronization by clicking on the "pen button"
