Very often performing numerous measurements with different setups means a lot of data files which is difficult to group and classify. Changing store filename in every setup file can be very time-consuming.
The solution for easier filename classification is to set the preferred filename as a variable, which you can define for many setup files as long as you use the same project file.
Global variables
In the Dewesoft settings, you can add new Global variables, which you use as a filename or just as a part of a filename.
You can arbitrarily choose the Data type between Text, Integer and Floating point. Default value will be later defined as a filename.
Data header
In the Dewesoft settings, you can add new Data header entry, which you use as a filename or just as a part of a filename.
You can arbitrarily choose the Data type between Text, Integer and Floating point. Default value will be later defined as a filename.
In the storing options use Global variables in the apostrophes. Filename would be assigned Default value initialized in the Settings.
''Ask for header on start'' allows using Data header input as a dynamic field. Upon the start of your file, whatever the value of that channel name is, your file name will be changed accordingly.
Stored filenames for different Measurements, classified on VARIABLE0 and with a dynamic field of VARIABLE3.
