If you want to store data file at an exact hour (1:00, 2:00,...), Dewesoft offers a simple solution.

To do this the "Make new file after" option and "absolute time" in storing settings option has to be enabled.

1.) If you enter the value 1, a new file will be created at every exact hour (1:00, 2:00,...),

2.) if you select the value 24, a new file will be created at midnight (00:00),

3.) if you select the value 12, a new file will be created at midnight (00:00) and at noon (12:00).

Be careful that 24 is dividable with the selected value ( 24 represents the 24 hours in a day).

When "absolute time" option is enabled, we recommend using an external time source such as IRIG, GPS or NTP.

If PC clock is used as a time source, there will be gaps between the recorded files because PC clock and Dewesoft clock are not perfectly aligned.

From the X3SP9 Release candidate version, only the Dewesoft clock is taken into account when storing multi-files with absolute time options enabled, consequently, there are no gaps between the multi-files.
