In some cases the driver setup for the EtherCAT drivers doesn't install the drivers and opens an error window. 

In this case a manual installation is needed. This are the steps you need to take:

  1. Open the network connections in you control panel. Right click on a Ethernet connection to get to Ethernet Properties.
  2. Click on install, select service and click add. 
  3. Click on Have Disk, Browse and search for EthcatDAQ.inf in the EtherCAT driver folder, which was downloaded form the Dewesoft website (e.g. EthercatDAQ v0.90\Win10\x86)

    4. After inputting the destination click on OK in the Install From Disk window, another window will open and you click on OK again and the installation is finished.
