In order to achieve best visualization performance and fast loading of data files, Dewesoft uses a multi level buffer structure. Multi level buffers can be seen by the user especially on recorder widget. The phenomena that this structure causes is detected by visual "blobbing" of the data.
By default, buffers are optimized for small file size and fast performance. For most applications, default settings should be the best option. The first level of reduced buffer is defined by changing the "static acquisition rate". Every next level of reduced buffer is 10 times more reduced, which can be seen when the user zooms out to a bigger region on the recorder widget.
Be aware that faster "static acquisition rate" will increase the data file size.
It can happen, that for some applications, Dewesoft will switch too soon to the next level of reduced buffer. For such applications we made a special setting, which will improve visual quality (less blobbing), but on the other side it will increase buffer sizes, causing lower performance and increased memory consumption. If this option is used it is highly advisable to use 64-bit version of Dewesoft. Note that underlying "Optimize channel buffers for visualization if available from Dewesoft X3 SP7 onward.
Restart DewesoftX after choosing the setting.
The visualization is blobbing until we checkbox the option.
The visualization improves but also datafile size increases.
